Can He Trust You?

Can He Trust You? ….…. By LaKisha M. Johnson

Proverbs 31:10-12, “A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.”

I was an avid “Leave It to Beaver” fan growing up, If you don’t know what the television show Leave it to Beaver is, then google it. :o). One of the things that I admired most about this television show is that, everyone seemed to be in position everyone knew their “role” in the family. Beaver, the youngest son was always up to something, but it seemed because the mother and father were in sync with each other, on one accord that it was easy to deal with life’s surprises. The mom in here knew that she set the tone for her house and she did it well.

As we study the wisdom of the proverbial woman, one of the first things that we have to take note of, is the level of confidence that her husband had in her. He could completely trust her; he most likely made the decision to marry her because he could. Her value and the validity of who she was in Christ, was already established, she didn’t need him to validate her. She walked in her kingdom nobility and did all she could to bring him good all the days of her life. This woman knew that he needed to be able to trust her with him, his business, his home, his children and yes, his weaknesses. He knew that she would never exploit him, and just as he trusted God, He was able to put his full confidence and trust in her. Can he trust you, with everything, that is our question we are asking ourselves today, is he our husband or husband to be able to put his “full” trust in us.

Prayer: Father thank you for giving me the vision, and clear perspective of what a wife looks like, help my will and desires to align with yours for my life. In Jesus Name. Amen
