A Wisdom from Above..

Proverbs 31:16-19, “She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.”

I have always been a coffee girl, I would load my coffee with cream and sugar. Recently I started being more mindful of the things I put in my body. My experience in life taught me, that loading cream and sugar into my coffee was the only way I could drink it. It wasn’t until I went over a friend’s house and had coffee with her that I gained a different perspective. She made me coffee and just put creamer (pre-sweetened and flavored). I didn’t pay attention that she didn’t put sugar in it, I started drinking the coffee and it tasted great. I remember growing up, my grandmother, used to say when you know better you do better. For the longest, I just would say, “Ok, Granny.” My grandmother was a very wise woman, what she was saying to me in all your ways, get wisdom, and just because you have experiences, doesn’t mean you have wisdom.

In these set of verses the Proverbs 31 demonstrates, financial soundness, good health (she is vigorous, which means she has to be good at taking care of herself), she is an investor, she doesn’t just spend money, she uses what she makes to make more money and she isn’t afraid to work hard. James 1:5, If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. If you are sincere about having the right kind of wisdom for your house, then ask God to give it to you, and remember that your experiences don’t necessarily make you wise, think outside your box.

Prayer: Father liberally supply me with your wisdom, give me the strategies I need to be a good steward in my finances, to manage my house and health, in Jesus Name. Amen
