Your Crooked Places Straight...

Dear Friend,

This is what I love about the dope God that we serve! He doesn't require us to have it all together! For some reason this world has taught us that we need to be perfect for God, and I can't find one scripture in which God has said, I need you in this "perfect" space. Because of these false requirements for relationship, many of us hide our face from God, when He already knows who we are, our inadequacies, fears and our most sinful place. If not, He would have never given us a savior, Jesus.

Isaiah 45:2 says, "I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron." He said, " I'm going to pave the way so that you know for sure that it is I, God almighty who called you by name." Religion teaches us to reach for perfect places, relationship teaches that our sufficiency is only found in His grace (2 Corinthians 12:9). He has paved away, called you by name. He knew you didn't have enough in your hands, that you wouldn't get it right, He just needs you to trust Him and make Him your safe place. He never asked you to be enough, because He is enough for you both.

So today, I don't want you to focus on what you don't have, or what you are not, I want you to focus on what you do have, The Lord your God and He gave you Jesus, to pave the way. You are enough because He is enough for you and He is making your crooked places straight.
