Reinforcements...

Dear Friend,

I remember when I was young the movie Gremlins came out. At first the movie seemed cute and harmless. The cutie Gizmo, had you won over with his big brown eyes and cute curiosity. However his owner was given specific instructions on what "Not" to do with him, he seemed to forego those instructions, and the problems began to multiply, literally.

The same is about strongholds in our lives, they come with reinforcements, other attitudes, people and walls that like to confirm the way we feel or support our negative attitude, the goal of these reinforcements is to multiply or increase the way that we feel so that we don't receive God's truth or very best about the situation. They come in forms of "Me too, and it's no big deal, and God doesn't expect you to be perfect, you have to be human and live." All contrary to our spiritual truths. It's like the famous "Bebe Kids slogan, We don't die, we multiply."

The scripture in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. we destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. Reinforcements, multiply negative behavior, teach us to be proud, teach us to be self centered and self confident. They DO NOT align with the WORD of God. Proverbs 23:7. "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." Our thoughts control our destiny, if they are enforced negatively, it keeps us distracted and walking in our Kingdom destiny. Who or what in your life negatively reinforces the things that have strong holds on you.
