Stay Ready!

Dead friends,

This past Saturday I held a Bling Jewelry party at my home. I am always grateful when we can get together for a good time. We played a game called, “What’s In Your Purse.” She would name various items and if you had that item, you would be given points. The points ranged from 1-5, depending on the item. One item stood out above all, as it’s something most people don’t just carry around in their purse. She asked, ‘if anyone had a passport?” To my surprise one of the guess did. While all the other items merited between 1-2 points, the passport was given 5 points if you had it.

Needless to she won, because she had many of the items she asked for.

I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Are you ready, or do you have to get ready?”

This made me think of the ten virgins who went out to meet the bridgegroom. Five of them who the bible calls foolish were not ready. The didn’t have what they needed, so the went out to get it.

The bible says in Matthew 25:10, “And while they went to buy the bridegroom came, and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage and the door was shut.”

This left me with a list if questions swirling in my mind. Are you really ready for what God has for you? Are you equipped with all the tools that you need to be ready? Are you spending time in my word, and listening quietly to what my spirit says? Are you judging yourself or justifying yourself? If I needed you today, do you have your spiritual passport?

Let’s decide today that we will not be like the five foolish virgins unprepared, but we will be wise. We will stay ready, so we don’t have to get ready.

Get your spiritual passport ready!

Getting Ready,

Chanda
