Color Blind by Jessica Thompson

Dear Friend,

Color blindness, also known as color vision deficiency, is the decreased ability to see color or differences in color. Growing up I remember my father in intense moments of persuasion over the colors black, dark green, and navy blue. He would be so adamant that the black pants were navy blue and didn’t match his outfit. I couldn’t see what he saw. You could hear the frustration in his voice. No matter how hard someone else wanted him to see the true color he couldn’t see it!

I began to think about how God feels when He shows us his promises in the Word and our response is...”No, that’s not what your Word says! You didn’t really mean it.” And God simply repeats himself, or gets quiet and the then we look again. In Acts 9:18 the scales came off of Saul’s eyes! He went along thinking he was right and knew who God was. But after His face to face moment on the Road to Damascus life changed. He was no longer blind in the natural or the spirit! He had a revelation of who God really was and what assignment he was to fulfill.

There’s nothing like going around thinking you know and you really don’t know. Today pray for God’s revelation knowledge and wisdom to flow unhindered in your life. And that any scales on your eyes be removed so that you may see what He sees and operate according to The Kingdom!

I’ve got my Father’s eyes,

Jess
