Are You Emotionally Crippled?
Good Morning Ladies (and few gents),
Today’s devotion included below “Are You Emotionally Crippled?” is a reminder from GiG Sharon that, “Satan, the one who orchestrates the spirit of infirmity, wants to cripple us into inactivity so that our walk becomes a shuffle. Our voice becomes a whisper. Our vision becomes a blur.”
GiG, I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of Satan’s tactics and schemes. I want desperately to see captives set free and I won’t hesitate to admit I’ve been standing in line for quite some time. God has done and continues to do an amazing work in me. So much so that He is giving me the desires of my heart and commissioning me to get outside my comfort zone, come from the background to the foreground and mobilize others to find hope and freedom in Jesus too.
Yes, OVC Night of Hope by God’s design will help set captives free to experience emotional, spiritual, and relational health.
Are you bent over by something or someone? Then don’t delay, ask God to show you his truth over Satan’s lies and faithfully do as the Holy Spirit prescribes. You’ll be so glad you did.
See, God promises to restore us spiritually. To accomplish this he gives us a new heart for following him. Because he puts his Spirit within us to transform us and empower us to do his will. Don’t get it twisted; no matter how impure our life is right now, God offers us a fresh start. Maybe you haven’t accepted God’s promise, How’s that working for you? What are you waiting for? Why patch up your old life when you can have a new one? Go on now, step back and look up!
13 For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Romans 8:13-14 NLT
If this isn’t you, praise the Lord! However, I am certain it just might be someone you know; minister to them today without delay.
GiG, when we regard sins appeal as dead and lifeless, we can ignore temptation when it comes. Life is really all about pleasing God and resolving our problems. True Christians can change, for God makes it possible through a spiritual renewal. The Holy Spirit is our power source, indwelling us and empowering us to overcome sin and lead a godly life.
25 “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. 26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations. Ezekiel 36:25-27 NLT
May we be encouraged to know that God has given us all we need. He will make all grace abound to us, so that we can overcome any specific sin and do his will.
God’s Got It…so we can REST— And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT
Have a “True Dat” Thursday, March 28, 2019—activity over captivity; joy over sorrow; ultimately freedom over bondage.
Called to serve and encouraging others to thrive,
