It's Necessary

May 9, 2019

Dear Friends,

I was asking my youngest to do a few chores around the house and explaining to him all the similar things I had to do to help around the house when I was growing up. Sometimes, he makes it seem like I am asking him to do things that have never been done before…lol!  This made me think, there isn’t anything that God asked of me, that He hasn’t already done himself.

He forgave us, so that we could forgive.

Ephesian 1:7-8 “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made abound towards us in all wisdom and prudence.”

He extends to us His mercy and grace, so that we can extend His mercy and grace to others.

Psalm 145:8-9 “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy.  The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.”

Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

He lavishes us His unconditional love, so that we can lavish others our love without conditions.

I John 3:1 “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”

I John 3:16 “ This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

There are times that my son doesn’t like the things I ask of him, but the things I ask are necessary for his development in life.  He must know how to clean, serve, work, study, and pray.  Likewise, the things that God ask of us isn’t always easy, but necessary for our growth.

It’s Necessary,

Chanda Rose
