I know sometimes it is easy to take residence in the difficulty of what you are going through, but can I tell you that choosing to live a life of joy will be much bette for you and those around you. Some of the most amazing people I have met, have been those who have chosen to remain joyful during life trials. Those who still say with confidence that God is good when their heart is experiencing pain. These are the people who should be infectious to us. Joy is contagious and if you hang around it long enough you will begin to experience its symptoms. How can you not be joyful, when you see firsthand the trials that they experience, and yet they still let the joy of the Lord remain? Truth be told joy has the power to carry us through dark moments, painful seasons, and minister to those around us as they witness our response.
Proverbs 17:23 NIV, A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
James 1:2-4 NIV, Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3) because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4) Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking anything.
It is my prayer that you find joy today, no matter where you are and what you are going through.
