Grace Under Pressure

Dear Friend, First responders are usually the paramedics, police officers, firefighters, rescuers, and other trained members of organizations connected with this type of work. In the midst of an accident or traumatic event where people can possibly be injured, they are the are the first ones on the scene. They are ones who stabilize the situation and expedite the next phases for treatment for those involved if it’s necessary. One of the key factors about first responders is their ability to move quickly with accuracy. And they're able to execute tasks with sound judgment regardless of what is going on around them. I have a question...who are your first responders in the midst of the emergency moments in your life? Think about the moments when you may feel intense pressure and stress. Or maybe you’re just overwhelmed, tired, and needing to rest and something happens that attempts to take your peace. Are your first responders rude, irritated, short tempered, and mean? If they are you’ll notice that whatever situation may be, it doesn’t change it for the better...it gets worse! Our first responders (or responses) to any situation should be the Word of God. But the only way this occurs is by being full of the Word. We become full of the Word by meditating it on an ongoing basis. Then, when tests and trials arise, or buttons are pushed the Word will burst forth! Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our hearts above all else, for it determines the course of our lives! Today, who will you dispatch when someone rubs you the wrong way? Let it be peace! Let it love! Let it be kindness! Stabilize the world around you today by the of the Word of God! Anointed to operate in Grace under pressure, Jess
