God's Voice is Kind...

Dear Friend,

Good Morning Ladies (and few gents),

…God’s voice is always kind. So, if what I’m hearing in my heart or mind isn’t kind then it’s not from God.” Oh, true dat!

GiG, this year has gotten off to a tremendous start in the Lord. Each day I’ve been reminded by scriptures I’ve memorized over the years for such a time as this.

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 KJV

Our thoughts reflect the true state of our heart. Meditate upon this for just a moment: the things we think on throughout the day influence our speech and actions for good or for bad. However, if we focus our thoughts on things that are just, pure, lovely, of good report, etc. requires the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. God’s Word, God’s Spirit, God’s power will filter and refocus our thoughts as we willingly surrender our mind to him.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:29 NIV

May we be encouraged to willing surrender our mind and pattern our life after Jesus.

God’s Got It…so we can GROW—Personal power is not power over others; it is power with them. And when used as God intended, inspires others to be the best they can be for a Kingdom Agenda.
