This is The Day!
“This [day in which GOd has saved me] is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24 (AMP)
Dear Friend,
I don’t always wake up in a good mood. I often wish the moments before my alarm sounds would last much longer. I’m not always ready to exchange the comfort of my bed for the challenges of a new day. Sometimes, I’d rather stay buried under my warm covers and ignore the responsibilities the day is sure to bring. Many mornings, anxiety tries to paralyze my mind as my “To Do” list takes centerstage in my thoughts. Anxiety gives way to negativity and fear. If not captured, one negative thought in the morning can fester into a series of wrong actions and wrong words throughout the day.
Friend, there is a cure for changing the trajectory of your day. God’s word and thankfulness will change your mind from anxious to peaceful. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4: 6-7 (NLT) God commands us to rejoice and be glad in the day He has made. Instead of focusing on the “To Do” list for the day, focus on rejoicing and being glad about the day. Make a list and think on all the things you are thankful for and why you have reasons to rejoice.
I’d like to share with you a few of the things on my list from today:
God allowed me to see another day…..A new day is not promised.
Sunrise…...I stood outside and watched a beautiful sunrise this morning.
My children are healthy.
I am employed.
Coffee…..I made a perfect cup of coffee today.
I am pain free. I am no longer waiting for the manifestation of healing, I have it!
Laughter
