Who Am I Going to Believe?

August 31, 2020

Good Morning Ladies (and few gents),

A Thought for the Day: “Who are I going to believe? God… and begin seeing myself as God saw me, or…continue believing the lies of the enemy and the echoes of my past?” extracted from You Are Who God Says You Are by Sharon Jaynes.

Well, we have reached the end of my writing week. And I would like to close with these words of encouragement.

9 If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, 10 no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. 11 For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. 12 They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.  13 You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! Psalm 91:9-13 NLT

Psalm 91 reminds us that we have God’s protection in the midst of danger. He does not promise us a world free from danger, but he does promise his help whenever we face danger.

GiG, life is short as many of you know, who have had loved ones go home to glory. So, use the little time we have more wisely and for eternal good. We need to take time to number our days. For example, start asking ourselves, “What do I want to see happen in my life before I die?” “What small step could I take toward that purpose today?” “Is what I’m doing or planning in anyway taking me away from that purpose?”

May we be encouraged to not look at our problems, instead look higher to our Protector. When we make the enemy bigger in our focus, that’s when we’ll find ourselves gripped by fear. But when we make God bigger — because He really is bigger — we’ll find faith rising in our spirit and we’ll be ready to move forward into all He has for us! Afterall, He does promise his help whenever we face danger.

God’s Got It… so we can know the TRUTH—We are not immune to fear, failure, or forgetfulness. But the difference between living by fear, failure or forgetfulness and living by faith, freedom, and fruitfulness lies in our focus.
