In The Image of....

Dear Friends,

Psalms 8:4-6 (The Passion Translation) “Compared to all this comic glory, why would you bother with puny, mortal man or be infatuated with Adam’s sons? Yet what honor you have given to men, created only a little lower than Elohim, crowned like kings and queens[ with glory and magnificence. You have delegated to them mastery over all you have made, making everything subservient to their authority, placing earth itself under the feet of your image-bearers.”

David said, “When I consider your heaven, the works of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place. One bible translation says, “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” (Psalm 8:3-4 NIV)

We are on the mind of an all-powerful, all seeing and an all knowing God. A God who spoke the universe into existence. A God that made man out of the dust. All though I try, I really can’t wrap my heart and mind around this! But nevertheless, I take my rest in the truth of His word, and smile big knowing that He simply desires a relationship with me, and for me to reflect His glory. As scripture bears truth He created me, just a little lower than Himself, and to be his image-bearer(Psalm 8:5 TPT). That’s enough for my heart to leap with joy and gratitude that God Himself is infatuated with Adam’s son (that’s you and I).

Everything around us is subservient to our authority. “Subservient-serving to a means to an end.” The whole earth has been placed under our feet. God is that mindful of us. Then I heard someone say, “Our response to Him is to live with a new, exciting, and life-changing view of worship and self-worth. Looking up to the one who is mindful of us, and whose image we bear will change how we look inside and outside of us and allow us to walk in that authority. Why, because we bear the image of God.

Now go look like your daddy God today and everyday, for He has crowned us in His glory!

Reflecting the Image of the One Who Mindful of Me,
