No More Negotiating...

No More Negotiating by LaKisha M. Johnson

Mark 11:23,"Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them."

Sometimes we try to negotiate with the enemy; we sit at the table with him, and give him way more power. There is no negotiating with the enemy, your hater‘s don’t care about you, and whether or not you prosper, are successful, or set free. The goal of the enemy is to present a mountain to you, a situation that you can’t seem to overcome, to make you think that you can’t get past it. A mountain sized view of situation, when the problem is, you need to walk in your spiritual authority. Jesus never negotiated with any spirit or principality (Matthew 8:28-34). He didn’t expect for us to either. Luke 10:19, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.”

When I was in the fourth grade, I was faced with a problem with a bully. He had been antagonizing me all school year. Now that I am older, I know now that he probably liked me, but then I had no clue. All I know is he picked on me every day. I told teachers, I begged him to stop, I tried to negotiate with him every day. I think I may have even offered him candy. One day we both had to stay inside and work on some math. The teacher walked out for a second, and he immediately started in. I remember he said something to me and I said something back. The next thing I know he punched me in my chin. I don’t know what happened after that, but I will tell you I had flipped over my desk and when the teacher came in, she had to pull me off of him. She thought I was the aggressor and the way that I was beating on him, it looked that way. I had gotten fed up, tired of negotiating, pleading and begging for him to stop. Spiritually we need to be the same way, God didn’t say talk negotiate, or discuss the problem blocking your way, he said “Speak to it”. Command it to get out your way, put the Word of God in place, and watch Jesus do his thing. John 14:13-14, “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.” So command that “thing” whatever it is to get out of your way, so that you can walk into your destiny. By the way, I never had problems with that bully again, or anyone else at the school. Our father will contend with those that contend with us. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, I speak to poverty, debt, lack, sickness, disease, doubt, fear, worry, discord, dissension, contentions, oppression, depression, low self-esteem and complacency and command them to get out my life, and the lives of my children and loved ones in Jesus Name. Amen
