Dear Friend, A few weeks ago, I had walked into the store and picked up a few things. Honestly, when I walked in I wasn't aware of my surroundings (a lesson) in itself. As I came back out the store and put my things in the car, I was looking for a place to put my cart up. I looked up and the nearest place, appeared to be across "the way" (in the country that means a little further than I would like to go). So I started to take my cart "across the way". There was a truck parke
Dear Friends, Have you ever made a mistake? Maybe you knew you were saving some money for something important, and then you spent it on something unimportant. Perhaps, it was just a simple mistake of not following directions, and you ended up in the wrong place. Whatever, the mistakes have been, did you know that we don’t have to limit ourselves to learning from mistakes only? Now, before you shoot me down. I know culture has taught us that mistakes are the best teachers.
Dear Friend, There’s just something about coming in first place! For me offseason basketball consisted of long distance running and lots of cross training. I remember back in middle school when I first started playing I had no concept of pacing myself in a long distance run. I longed for the attention of my coach to praise and acknowledge me for doing something right. So when we headed to the track for the run I found myself doing it completely wrong. I jogged (...and walked)
PRAYER: For military families near and far whose loved ones gave all during their service. Good Morning Ladies (and few gents), A Thought for the Day: “No matter where I am going and what I am doing, I want to be still in my soul and fully present with God.” extracted from Just Be by Elisa Pulliam. Today is Memorial Day, unofficially known as the start of summer. However, it is originally known as Decoration Day. Founded in 1866, following the Civil War, the towns people in W
Dear Friend, Have you ever found yourself stuck in the rain without an umbrella because of unexpected showers? Weather Meteorologists help keep us abreast of the weather by providing a daily forecast. A weather forecast is based on analyzing the predictable patterns of the climate for a given area. But what if we didn’t have predictable patterns to rely on? What if we had to just trust solely on our God given instincts and His prompting? Well this is exactly what ants do. Ant
Dear Friends, Do you need more boldness in your prayer life? The “1828 Dictionary” has a few definition for the word “Boldness”, but I want to focus on these two. “1. Freedom from timidity; Liberty and, 2. Confidence; Confident trust.” I have to admit I have asked the Lord for some pretty big things, and to which I felt were bold prayers. However, after reading the definition of boldness, I can’t guarantee that all those prayers came from a place of freedom and confidence.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 KJV Dear Friend, Over the last few weeks, I’ve had ample time to do self introspection and evaluate my friendships and relationships. I’ve posed questions to myself such as “Why am I involved with this particular group?” “How can I be a better friend?” “Is this activity the best use of my time?” and “Is this God’s best for me?”
Good Morning Ladies (and few gents), A Thought for the Day: “But God didn’t send the messengers out unprepared. He trained them as only He can do, and He always put them through a process to examine their own hearts… God doesn’t convict us of our sin to condemn us. He reveals our sin to clean us.” extracted from What’s Down in the Well will Come Up in the Bucket by Sharon Jaynes. GiG, let’s take a brief moment and examine ourselves. Do we have words purified and hearts fortif
Elementary science teaches us that the Earth is always the earth is moving about our sun in a circular orbit. It moves at the speed of nearly 30 kilometers per second, or 67,000 miles per hour. The solar system spins around the center of our galaxy at 220 kilometers per second, or 490,000 miles per hour! In short...our world is always spinning!!!
But let’s take a look at this from a different context. How many of us have felt like our emotional world was spin
Dear Friends, Does it seem hard to comprehend Jesus as an alive and operable being? He existed before he was born into this earth realm. If you answered yes, or just still pondering your answer….Can I admonish you to broaden your imagination. (I Peter 1:20 TPT), provides us with a little more insight to Jesus being here before the earth, it says “This was part of God’s plan, for he was chosen and destined for this before the foundation of the earth was laid, but he has been
