He was always there!
Dear Friends,
Does it seem hard to comprehend Jesus as an alive and operable being? He existed before he was born into this earth realm. If you answered yes, or just still pondering your answer….Can I admonish you to broaden your imagination. (I Peter 1:20 TPT), provides us with a little more insight to Jesus being here before the earth, it says “This was part of God’s plan, for he was chosen and destined for this before the foundation of the earth was laid, but he has been made manifest in these last days for you. We in the natural understand the normal restrictions of both time and place, but those restrictions become null and void with Him. The New Testament gives us numerous account of Jesus’s thirty three year reign here on the earth.
However, long before Jesus went to the home of Martha and Mary, he shared a moment with Joshua at the wall of Jericho. I love how He introduces Himself to Joshua. Let read it Joshua 5:13-15 (AMPC)13 When Joshua was by Jericho, he looked up, and behold, a Man stood near him with His drawn sword in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, Are you for us or for our adversaries?14 And He said, No [neither], but as Prince of the Lord’s host have I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, What says my Lord to His servant?15 And the Prince of the Lord’s host said to Joshua, Loose your shoes from off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy. And Joshua did so.
The great Donald Lawrence, had a song called “I Am God” in the late 90’s. It said, “I was there in the beginning, and I’ll be there when you get to the end. I John 1:1-3 TPT, 1) We saw him with our very own eyes, We gazed upon him[ and heard him speak. Our hands actually touched him, the one who was from the beginning, the Living Expression of God.” 2)This Life-Giver was made visible and we have seen him. We testify to this truth :the eternal Life-Giver lived face-to-face with the Father and has now dawned upon us.3) So we proclaim to you what we have seen and heard about this Life-Giver so that we may share and enjoy this life together. For truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus, the Anointed One.
Isn’t it amazing to be able to take real comfort and rest in,
” Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (See Hebrew 13:8 NIV)
