It is Working for You.

It’s Working for You ….…. By LaKisha M. Johnson

Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

I remember I signed up with this program to work out for 120 days in a row. It was a full circuit body training program. I had to sign a contract that agreed to work the program and not give up. The program required us to track our eatingad work out Monday-Friday at 5:00 am. The program was free, the contract contained monetary penalities if you didn't comply. I may have only missed one or two days. I changed my diet and was excited about what the program would do for me. We didn’t weigh in every week, only every few weeks. The first weigh in, I lost one (1) pound. I modified my diet some more. The next weigh in, I gained two (2) pounds. I was getting frustrated it seemed like it wasn’t working. I had to be at work early, so I had to take a shower at the gym. One day, I was getting dressed and put my skirt on, and my skirt fell off of me. It literally fell off of me, I walked out the room and showed my trainer and a few other people in the gym. We were all amazed. Although it appeared nothing was happening, the program was working for me. I hadn’t lost weight, but my body was being sculpted and defined and I had lost several inches.

The same for you, the Word is working for you. It may not seem like it is, but is working for you. I know it seems as if, it isn’t coming together but it is. God is faithful, and I know it seems like at times it is working for everyone around you, but you. Hebrews 11:6, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Don’t give up, just like my program, I couldn’t see the desired results but they were manifesting. God is working “behind the scenes” He just needs you to continue to trust Him. I can’t tell you when, but your “joy” is coming (Psalms 30:5) . Just remember that His grace is sufficient and although it seems like you are weak, in Him you are actually being made strong (2 Cor 12:9) . It is working for you!

Prayer: Father, help me to endure this race, even when it seems like I am not winning in Jesus Name. Amen
