Just Be You!
Dear Friend,
Psalms 139:13, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful I know that I am full well."
I am a little bit older than most people think. I remember when we were in school, if we wanted to make a copy of something; we had to use carbon copy paper. We would slide the copy paper in between the original piece of paper and the copy paper. Although the copy would come out well, it still didn’t look like the original. It was only the copy.
God didn’t ask us to be copies of anyone else. He created us to be originals. As we work to become more like Christ, it’s easy to see images of what other’s look like in Christ. Sometimes we began to model ourselves after that, and forget to be uniquely us. God designed us after Himself, with the foundation of the WORD as our guide. I want to encourage you today, to be uniquely you. The only copy you should be is the copy of Christ. Don’t modify, water down or cover up the “real” you. His favor goes with you, when you are being the authentic you and He can get the glory out of your life, so make sure that you just be YOU.
Prayer: Father, thank you for creating me in your image, for making me look like a facet of you. I appreciate you, and thank you.
Blessed by the Best,
LMJ
