God Is Light!
Genesis 1: 14-19 “And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth. And it was so. God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them to vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning- the fourth day. “
Wait! I thought God created light on the very first day, I found myself saying out loud. Genesis 1:3, Let there be light,” I sat for a minute, and as the Holy Spirit began to show me, God was the light, He was projecting Himself out into the universe. 1 John 1:5, “This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.” The light is evident and lights up the dark. God provides what we need even in the precocious of situations.
Psalms 119:105 reminds us that HIS Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Psalms 44:33, “For by their own sword they did not possess the land, and their own arm did not save them, But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, For You favored them.” God is your light! He has the ability to be whatever you need in your “darkest” hour.
Prayer: Father thank you for being my lamp, my light. Thank you for guiding me when I can’t see, when I don’t understand things in the natural, you have prepared a way for me.
