Cash in your coupon today...

Dear Friend,

I am not really good at using coupons. It takes too much time. I want to use them but usually i forget that I have them, and I definitely don't spend a lot of time looking for them. I remember I was looking for something in particular, I went into the store to purchase it and the lady asked, "Do you have the coupon?" I said, "What coupon?" She said, "The one that allows you to buy one and get one free." I didn't have that coupon (she let me use one anyway), I hadn't even seen or looked for a coupon. I wasn't even thinking about a coupon I just went to purchase what I needed.

As I was reflecting on this process, the Holy Spirit showed reminded me of the plan of redemption for our life, we don't have to go search for it, it is offered to us freely. Ephesians 1: 7-14 tells us of God's redemptive plan for our lives. "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment -- to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ."

God's plan all along has been to redeem and restore us, in many cases he offers us a double or nothing, an increase to our daily lives when we are redeemed by Him. He created us for His glory, for His purpose why wouldn't he have something in the clutch to restore us? It would be contrary to His initial plan for our lives if he didn't. What does redemption look like for you today? Jesus was the plan for us, His life for ours. We were bought with a price. Buy one, get one free.
