Tornado Watch (not warning)...
Dear Friend,
Growing up in North Texas I lived in a path called “Tornado Alley.” This particular region of the country was the ideal location for tornadoes during the spring time. As a little girl, my dad was fascinated with the weather. When a storm was on the way he would take me outside to examine the clouds, discern the direction of the wind, and try to dissect what he thought was the ideal conditions of a tornado. Although I’ve heard the sound of many warning sirens blare through the city, I’ve never seen a funnel or been in a real tornado!
Reflect on your own “storms” in your life. How many times have you heard the sirens, felt the wind blow, or experienced torrential rains and flooding? We all have! But just like me, we experience all of the above, while anticipating a catastrophic event that NEVER happens...The conditions may look right for “tornado” but remember God is in control!
So don’t let the onset of what looks like a storm have you all bent out of shape. Be at peace and let go of the fear.John 14:27 says, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. Be solid in who is with you. Most like my what you’re worrying about will never even happen! And besides life’s too short to live stressed when you’re JessBlessed!
Love,
Jess
