Gap Coverage...

Dear Friend,

I am a mother of five (5) sons. My oldest sons are 25, 23 and 20. They have been driving for a long time. Which means insurance is necessary. Of course insurance is required, but after my oldest son's driving escapades, I learned the importance of gap coverage. Gap coverage for a new vehicle, provides a special coverage in the event something happens to your vehicle while you are financing it and the original insurance doesn't cover everything. When we bought our first SUV, we didn't put gap insurance on it. Our oldest son wasn't the best driver. He had an accident and the truck was totaled. Unfortunately due to the value of the truck, there was only so much the insurance would pay. That meant we were responsible for the remaining amount, $4,853.48. Please know that after that any car i bought or they bought, had gap insurance on it.

This week on coffee and conversations we are learning about intercessory prayer. Intercessory prayer provides gap coverage for everyone and everything around us. James 5:16, "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." God called all of us to be intercessors, to stand in the "gap" for all of those we are connected to. It's not about who we need to pray for, it's about what does God want us to pray? God's wisdom is revealed to us in prayer, his Spirit is given to us in our relationship with Him (see 1 John 4:13, 1 Cor 2:6-14, Rom 12:2 and Psalms 147:3) It's not a question if we are supposed to, it's a question of are we willing? Your prayers have the power to impact and influence the world around you, are you standing in the gap? What around you are you not properly covering? I showed you what happens when there is no "gap" insurance in place, it's costly. Ask God to show you how to pray for the people (government, neighborhood, your family etc) around you. He will. He longs for the intercessors to get in place.

Love You Immensely,

LaKisha
