Streamline...

Dear Friend,

One of my favorite artist Miguel wrote a song "Simple Things", when i first heard this song I didn't really listen, i just dug the vibe as I began to listen to the words more, I began to understand what he was saying, love shouldn't be so complicated, it was meant to be simple. God has been telling us this from the beginning.

When the Pharisees asked Jesus what was the most important commandment in the law of Moses, they were hoping they could "trap" him. But Jesus kept it simple he replied, " You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: Love Your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments." Could it really be this simple our relationship with God and others? It is that simple, a "devoted" relationship to God leads you in the right direction, our lives were not meant to be complicated as a matter of fact most of us really need to "streamline" (simplify our relationship to God), it isn't about us working more (see Ephesians 2:9), it's about us doing less and understanding who He is to us and what kind of relationship He meant for us to have. A devoted life to God, makes life so much more simple, because He leads us and guides us the way we need to go (see Psalms 23). If areas of your life are complicated it's because those areas in your life are not devoted to God, they may be devoted to others.
