911 it's an emergency...

Dear Friend,

Have you ever placed a call to 911? Here's a sample of what it sounds like.

911 Dispatcher: This is 911 what is your emergency?

Me: I just had a car accident?

911 Dispatcher: Is there anyone injured?

Me: It appears to be.

911 Dispatcher: Can you tell me where you are?

Me: Giving my location

911 Dispatcher: Is there anyone with you?

Me: I am alone and scared

911 Dispatcher: I understand, would you stay on your phone, while I get you some help.

Me: Yes, but hurry.

911 Dispatcher: Your help is on the way!

Do you know that the Holy Spirit operates in the exact same way, the only problem is a lot of time we forget to call on Him, in the emergency. A lot of time we make the wrong phone call, to people who can't help in an emergency situation. If you had a car accident and were bleeding and you called your mom or your spouse first, they would get to you but not as quick as the emergency team, nor would they be equipped to deal with the nature of your emergency. The Holy Spirit is a part of your emergency team (see Hebrews 4:16). He is ready to deal with every emergency situation in your life (see John 14:26). He is just waiting on the call from you. His divine power will work for you, even in the worst of situation, because you are saved by His grace (see Ephesians 2:8-9)!
