God is Still God!
Dear Friend,
I never really used to have monumental faith, not like I do now. I need to be honest my faith was really weak. I would become more consumed with my problems, and my situations more than I would be consumed by the Word of God. I allowed my present situation to dictate my emotions and how I would respond to God. And, I was spiraling out of control each and every time that I did this.
We find our friend Job in the middle of this very situation, he has lost everything and instead of keeping his mouth closed, he decides to tell God all about it, but He is questioning God and complaining about this uncomfortable place (see Job 28-38). He didn't blame God, but he was way to whiny for God's taste. His position should have been to be quiet and seek the face of God, but he missed this moment with God by talking wayyyyyyyy too much. If we will be honest, we have all done the same thing! What I love is God's response to Job, after all of His talking!
Job 38, " Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:2 “Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge?3 Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand.5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?6 On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone—7 while the morning stars sang together and all the angels[a] shouted for joy?8 “Who shut up the sea behind doors when it burst forth from the womb,9 when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness,10 when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place,11 when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther; here is where your proud waves halt’?
God pulled out His resume on Job! He was reminding Job, I am still the SAME GOD that blessed you before and I am STILL THE SAME GOD, that will Bless YOU AGAIN!
Can you say humbling? When I read this I was reminded of God's amazing love for me, and that He is still Go NO MATTER WHAT situation i face! Can you do me a favor and remind yourself that as well today! NO more talking or complaining! Remind yourself that He is a faithful God, and that He will provide, take care of and do all that He needs to do for you! Nothing can stop Him (see Job 42:2).
Remind yourself of this, God's promises to you are yes and amen. He can't not promise you anything and not fulfill it. I want to remind you of this, my friend through this final word. Hebrews 6:16-18, "People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. 17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged."
God is for you, Nothing can be against you, and don't YOU forget that. God is STILL the SAME GOD!
In my most humble place,
