Continue in Love...
I John 4:9-11 message says, My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God.
Verse 21 (NIV), goes on to give us a COMMAND. “Anyone (that’s you and I) who loves God MUST also love their brothers and sisters. The message bible says it this way, “the COMMAND we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You’ve got to love both.”
The word command is defined as, “an authoritative order”.God is the fountain, author, parent, and commander of LOVE. The attribute of love is of a Divine Nature (God Himself). When we operate in this kind of love it reflects the majesty of God’s Divine Nature. It shows the world around us that His Divine Majesty has taken residence in us. Each day let’s walk in the authoritative order of love, and when we do it we will give the world around us a tangible dose of His Love when they encounter us. May this love not be based on feeling, but base on the essence of whose we are. Let’s make this declaration together:I, declare each day that I will follow the authoritative order of love given by the Chief Commander.
