We'll Live the Light On...

Dear Friends,

Jesus once again addressed them, "I am the world's light. No one who follows me stumbles around in darkness. I provide plenty of light to live in."

John 8;12 (message bible)

Motel 6 closes all commercials with this line. "we'll leave the light on for you." I don't know about you, but I have never asked anyone to leave the light off, when I enter a dark room and need to see. As follows of Christ, He has placed His light in us to see clearly, and to shine for other to see clearly. Motel 6, knows that if they light is off, chances are you won't be able to find them.

Same holds true for all of us who have made a choice to follow Christ. Scriptures tells us in, Matthew 5;14-15 , " that we are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl,. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house."

Oftentimes when life problems seem to corner us in, we tend to disconnect from the very Light (Christ) that keeps us from stumbling around in the dark. No more, let's choose quickly to stay in the Light that He has provide us to live in freely.

My plea to you today is, if you don't know the Light (Christ) and life has you stumbling around frustrated, hurt, and hopeless. Guess what??? That can end today! Make a decision this very minute to connect to the Light.

Say this with me:

God, I believe your son Jesus, died for every dark place in my life. I, believe Jesus, to be the way, the truth, and the life. I make a choice to accept your Light (Christ Jesus), and I accept you into my heart as Savior, and Lord. My stumbling days in darkness are now over, because you have provide me with plenty of light to live in. Thank you for leaving the Light on for me.
