Murmuring and Complaining...
It’s breakfast time and hot cakes with syrup are served. Your hands at times can get sticky just by handling the bottle. There’s nothing like dirty hands and you then you touch something else. My children do this often where they may touch the counter or another object without even realizing they have spread it throughout the kitchen. And I won’t know it’s there until I put my hand in it or my towel sticks to the counter.
Complaining is the same way! If we don’t handle the ‘sticky’ moments of our lives by allowing the Word of God to wash it away.(quickly) Instead we will spend our lives going around contaminating everything we touch with negative energy and strife. In Ephesians, we are reminded to
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29
And just like the syrup on the counter, you may not see it but you can definitely feel it.
Today let us be quick to respond to the world around according to the Word of God. Let us edify and build up one another so the Glory of God can be revealed even more in our lives! Remember complaining never fixes anything! It’s up there with worry and doubt...engaging in it doesn’t make the situation better.
