Titus 2 Women!
Dear Friends,
I was talking with my sister friend on yesterday, and I told her that I needed 15 minutes to vent. Those that are connected to her know that we have 15 minutes to share our emotions, and pour out concerns out. It's not that she isn't concerned about how we feel, it's that exact opposite. She knows that anything longer than that is giving too much energy to the problem. She encourages us to seek wisdom for the solution to the problem. The things I love most about these conversations with my sister friend, it that she always speaks the truth in love. Not her truth, not her opinion, just what "thus saith the Lord". When the conversation ended, I knew I needed to repent, and release some things. I texted her shortly after our phone call ended, and thank her for being my Titus 2 sister.
Titus 2:3-5 says, Likewise, teach the mature women to be reverent in the way the live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husband and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
I want to encourage each of us today not only strive to become that Titus 2:3-5 Woman, but to also seek this type of mature christian woman to glean from. I am truly thankful for those who see me that way, and for those that exemplify her in my life.
In Sisterhood,
