The Sweet Rest of Surrender

Dear Friends,

Did you know that waving a white flag in war was a sign of a solider surrendering? They would wave the white flags to collect the wounded off of the battle fields. They would basically fight until defeat was inevitable, and then wave their flags in surrender, collect their wounded, or to call a ceasefire for negotiations.

We serve a God who is mighty in battle, and will assure that every battle we face ends in Victory. The only surrender we will ever have to do, is surrendering to His will. When we lift our hands and heart’s to God, it’s a sign of surrender. We are saying here we are Lord (we waving our white flag), our lives belong to you.

Then with surrender comes that sweet rest of His promise in

Psalms 24:7-10:

Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty— he is the King of glory.

He is Jehovah Gibbor, The Lord Mighty in Battle. Victory will is guaranteed when we surrender to Him. May we choose to surrender spiritually, physically, relationally, mentally, financially, and emotionally to Love (God) this day, and every day!

Choosing to Surrender,

Chanda Rose
