Prayer As An Exercise
Dear Friends,
I can't think of any other exercise that yields more results than prayer, can you? Through prayer we get to have an intimate conversation with the Great I AM. We commune with Him through prayer. And at the mention of His name, we immediately get His attention.
Prayer continually reminds us that we are never alone, even when the trials of life try to tell us a different story. When we reach out to Him it puts us in His presence and allows us to see that we can trust Him.
We grow when we pray, by uniting our will with His, and in that we become more like Him. When we pray, and we get our prayers answered, and our soul expands longing for more spiritual encounters with a loving God. We develop patience through prayer waiting on the manifestation, knowing that God is still at work. Prayer is an exercise that creates result in our souls.
“So I say to you, ask and keep on asking, and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking, and you will find; knock and keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking [persistently], receives; and he who keeps on seeking [persistently], finds; and to him who keeps on knocking [persistently], the door will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?3 If you, then, being evil [that is, sinful by nature], know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him (Luke 11:9-13 amplified)
Let prayer be the spiritual plank that transforms our lives. Each day ask, seek, knock, and find Him in prayer.
