Struck down but not Destroyed!

Dear Friends,

“If you look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That’s to prevent anyone from confusing God’s incomparable power with us. As it is, there’s not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us-trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them , he does in us-He LIVES! Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus’ sake, which makes Jesus’ life all the more evident in us. While we’re going through the worst, you’re getting in on the best!” (2 Corinthians 4:8-12 The Message (MSG)

This above verse is a place a comfort for as I walk through various trials in my life. It puts me in perspective of what Christ has already done on the Cross. It is a reminder that because Christ lives, every dead place in my body, marriage, children, and finances will also live. My present suffering, when endured in light of the cross, will produce His glory in me. The grace of faith is an effectual remedy against fainting in times of trouble.

So, we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT)

Although fear tries to creep up within me, and the battle is evident around me. I take a stand to not get fixated on the battle, because I know that the cross has already won the war.

Standing,

Chanda Rose
