The Seed...

Dear Friends,

I was hanging with a friend having lunch, and we were sharing some of the things we were believing to receive from God. We cried, laughed a lot, and most of all loved on one another. Knowing personally what she had just shared with me, when the waitress asked would it be one or two checks. She immediately said, “One”! I glanced at her, and was about to say, “Are you sure?” However, I felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit to just say, “Thank you.” So, I thanked her, and asked God to multiply the seed that she had sown and bring in her desired harvest. We ate around 3:30 pm that day, and by 7:00 pm one of things we had just prayed for manifested. I know she had already prayed about that thing, and I know God heard her when she prayed.

Genesis 26:12 (KJV), “Now Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold, and the Lord blessed him.”

Yet, I believe her acted of obedience, opened the door to what she had been praying for. Many of us have seen God do this, yet often we still choose to be moved by what is going on around us and will not sow. In a place that seemed barren in her life, she understood the principle of the seed, and sowed.

Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NIV) states, “Whoever watches the wind will not plant, whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.” She did not look at the winds and clouds that were producing the current storm in her life.

No, she remembered what King Solomon, said in Ecclesiastes 11:6 (ESV), “ In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good.”

My friends whatever you, do not stop sowing.
