Abide...

Dear Friends,

I just want to share with each us this simple reminder. As believer fruitfulness is a guarantee when we abide in the Vine.

The Greek word for Abide is “Meno” which means, “to stay, abide, remain.”

John 15:5 New Living Translation

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”

Matthew 7:7-11 New Living Translation

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

9 “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? 10 Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! 11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

John 16:23:24 New Living Translation

23 At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. 24 You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.”

These are Jesus direct words to us who are believers. Do not stop asking, do not stop seeking, and do keep knocking until the door is open. It is His good pleasure to give us the His Kingdom. I heard a pastor say, “Just because we don’t see the fruit doesn’t mean that the seed hasn’t take root.” He is faithful to those who remain in Him. Stay, abide, and remain in the truth of God’s word. We will receive everything that He has promised to us in His word.

Abiding,

Chanda Rose
