Immanuel...God is with Us
Dear Friend,
As I was reading my bible this morning, I got caught up on one particular verse in Isaiah. Isaiah 7:14, "All right then, the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means "God is with us"). This is the part that kept sticking out. "God is with us. God is with us. God is with us." It doesn't matter the attack, or what we see. "God is with us".
My friend, you can rest in that. Psalms 139:8, "If I go up to the heavens you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there." So I have to be comforted in the fact that you are with me, and since that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (see Romans 8:1), meaning I don't have to be consumed with your "wrath" when I rest in Your Word, in THE truth, that Father God, you are WITH US.
Remind yourself daily, no matter the circumstance or situation that God is with you. God is with us. God is with us.
Prayer: Father thank you for being with us, even when we can't see or feel you or hear you, your WORD reminds us that you are with us. According to YOUR WORD, you will never leave or forsake us (see Hebrews 13:5). Thank you for being a God that is with us. In Jesus Name. Amen.
Blessed by His Presence,
LMJ
