No Worries...

Dear Friend,

Lately I’ve been finding comfort sitting out in front of my house. Just me, myself and I all alone with God. But to my surprise, I wasn’t alone. During these mini mom-cation, I found that I was in the company of another household. It was a mockingbird and her five chicks nestled in a nest under the carport.

I have found myself mesmerized at her parenting skills. She tends to all five without any stress or struggle. She diligently flies back and forth with food for each of them. I am assured they are satisfied because their little beaks close as soon as they are filled. They are calmed and quieted. The mother bird is calm and secure each moment she is away from her nest. No fear. No worries just focused on fulfilling her purpose, moment by moment...day by day!

Matthew 6:26-27 | Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

Philippians 4:6 | Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Are we valued less than the birds of the air? Does our Father in Heaven love them and provide for them more than us? If they don’t worry...why should we? It doesn’t matter what the world around us may look like...when we know THE ONE who is the source of all provision! Be encouraged God because got us covered. There is no need be worried or fearful! Be encouraged!
