Wash Your Hands!

Dear Friend,

My toddler cannot stand for her hands to be dirty at all! At the slightest bit of stickiness she demands that the problem be resolved. Take a moment and reflect on the dirtiest thing that you ever got your hands on. What was your response? Did you take your hands and proceed to trash can to discard them? Or maybe you considered amputation? These options seem extreme and completely unnecessary when you think soberly! All you have to do is...WASH. YOUR. HANDS.

Because of sin we were dirty and separated from God. But the moment we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior His Blood washed and cleansed us! So, this means no matter how ‘dirty’ our life situations become, remember His Blood has already washed us clean! We don’t have to throw the baby out with the bath water. We can stand firm on the truth that the Blood has cleansed us.

“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.”

Isaiah 1:18

But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

1 John 1:7

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

1 John 1:9

This cleansing is not simply a physical act, but rather a supernatural event that’s been established and cannot be erased! It is settled!

Shut down every lie that would try to convince you that you are your mistakes and there’s no redemption for you! Know that our redeemer lives! And by His resurrection power we are restored to our original state of righteousness before God our Father!

Blood washed and delivered,

Jess
