God is At Work..
Dear Friend,
18 So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Hebrews 6:18-19 NLT
Well, we have reached the end of my writing week. And I would like to close with reminding us of this certainty of God’s promise. That is, God is a promise-keeping Father. Others may break promises but not God. Yup, when He makes a promise, He keeps it. Can we honestly say that about anyone else, including ourselves?
GiG, here are two unchangeable things and they are God’s nature and his promise. His integrity makes a difference. He embodies all truth; therefore, he cannot lie. Because God is truth, we can be secure in his promises, we do not need to wonder if he will change his plans. Our hope is secure and immovable anchored in God just as a ship anchor holds firmly the seabed. To the true seeker, in our circle of influence, coming to God in belief, God gives an unconditional promise of acceptance. When we ask God with openness, honesty, and sincerity to save us from our sins, he will do it. This truth should give us encouragement assurance and confidence. So, let’s not get it twisted; God’s faithfulness comes into play when we’re hurting, whether that be emotionally, physically, spiritually, or mentally.
We all have a choice to make—faith or fear; His purpose and plan or relying on random past circumstances; a God who knows, cares and is aware or one that’s not there. Let us choose to trust God’s promises even when most of what we see looks bad. We, the people of God, believe our God, the One True God, is faithful, not a liar, and will see us through this madness.
May we be encouraged while dealing with the hijacking of our liberties here in California and the rest of the country by embracing, resting in Christ’s presence. He saved us from the clutches of death. He will, if we allow Him to, fizzle the fear that the enemy wants us to cuddle up next to.
Called to serve and encouraging others to thrive,
