I Still Can't See!

Dear Friend,

A few days ago I wrote a post to encourage myself, one of my friends inboxed me to tell me the scripture had encouraged her as well. As a matter of fact she had just been reading the same scripture but in a different verse. So my post was a post to an answered prayer! Glory right? At the end of her message to me she said, "Hey by the way, make sure you change the scripture, you wrote the verse wrong, and I want someone else to be able to find it if they need to look it up."

When she first said it. I was assured in my head, I didn’t write the scripture wrong. I copied and pasted the verse, but I typed out the scripture reference. In “my head” I’m like maybe she saw it wrong. I went over to the post and read the post, and still didn’t see anything wrong. I stared at it for a minute, went back to the original scripture, stared at it, and had to wait for a minute. For some reason, I couldn’t see anything wrong. I had to pause, pray, make sure I had all my pride out the way, I still couldn't see it. Finally, as I got over assuming I was right, the Holy Spirit showed me and finally I saw I had transposed the numbers.

I inboxed her and thanked her and said I finally saw it. I also, told her I’m going to write this, because even though you were telling me, I still couldn’t see. Friends, what stood in my way, was it my pride to be right? Was it the fact that I couldn’t make mistakes cause I was doing something good? I don’t know but all I could think about was what happens when you “think” you are right, but you are so wrong. I couldn’t see the mistake, I couldn’t see the issue, but she could. It was right up on me, and I still didn't see anything wrong. I had to trust that she was looking out for my good, and she was. She was not rude she covered my mistake in love, and showed me where to correct it. My lesson from this, sometimes, there are things that you can't see, but those that love you can. These are the scriptures we will meditate on today.

Proverbs 27:17

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

Proverbs 14:12

There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.

Proverbs 15:22

Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established.

Thanking God for Wise Counsel,

LMJ
