God Always Shows Up....

Good Morning Ladies (and few gents),

A Thought for the Day: “…in the space between what I’m waiting for and the actual outcome, God is working just as much in my heart as He is in my situation.” extracted from Finding Blessing in God’s Delays by Barb Roose.

Well, we have reached the end of my writing week. And I would like to close with this truth.

23 Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the Lord. “No, I am far away at the same time. 24 Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord. Jeremiah 23:23-24 NLT

God shows up in every situation. I once read that spirituality is defined as “the ability to close the gap between the time of the Lord’s appearance and our being aware that it is the Lord (Dr. R.T. Kendall).” Are we spiritually attuned to recognize Him? Oh, I hope so.

GiG, here’s a secret that I don’t want to keep a secret. If we can close the gap between feelings and trust, we will be able to sense God’s presence sooner. This doesn’t happen overnight. But as we spiritually mature, we’ll realize that as long as God can see us, He is close enough.

Oh, our enemy, Satan wants to mess with us and sometimes our own thoughts and doubts can enslave us to the lie that God is distant. If we seek Him, we will find Him, just as He promised.

May we be encouraged to remain persistent, and as the old church mother’s would say, “Baby, you got to pray it through” which translated is the process of staying in the presence of the Lord until we sense a breakthrough. And when we do, we will discover that God is closer than we think.

God’s Got It… so we can know the TRUTH—the path to finding a blessing in God’s delay is to shift from the often-impatient mindset of “I’m waiting for God to…” toward a gratitude-based posture of “I’m worshipping God

for”…”Worship will lift the heavy weight of waiting from our life.”

Called to serve and encouraging others to thrive,
