You Can Do It!

Dear Friend,

Yesterday I was keeping my 3 year old grandson, and lately he has started this new thing, "I can't do this!". If it seems if the obstacle is too big, or he is tired or just doesn't feel like it, then he automatically says, "I can't do this!"

Yesterday he needed to get up on my bed, now mind you he's been up on my bed multiple times, he gets up and down with no problem, he jumps on it with no problem. Yesterday, when he needed to get up, he looked at me and sad, I can't do this! He tried with minimal effort and as he slid back down, he had determined it was impossible for him. He then sat back down, and waited on me to pick him up. I looked at him and said, "No you can do this, you have done this before!" He tried again, and said, "No, I can't do this!". I looked back at him again and began to encourage him and build him up! You got this grandson, you can do this, this isn't impossible, you have done this before and with that little bit of encouragement he got back up on the bed, and you should have seen the smile on his face.

I want to encourage you this morning in the Word of God, maybe there is a circumstance or situation in your life that "seems" impossible, maybe you are like my grandson, you haven't even tried yet. Maybe the thought of having to go into new territory (start a new job, enter a new relationship, move to a new city etc.) has you overwhelmed. I want to encourage you, you can do THIS, whatever THIS is. You just have to keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (see Hebrews 12:2)! There is no circumstance or situation, you can't achieve in Christ Jesus, maybe you are like my grandson, a little less confident in yourself, that's ok, this morning God wants you to find your confidence in Jesus.

Now take a deep breath, and let it out (you may have to do this several times), and say, "I Can Do ALL Things through Christ that Strengthen's Me!" (see Phil 4:13), and when you find yourself losing faith, say it again and again until you believe it, and ask God to help you with your unbelief (see Mark 9:24)!

Finding Your Strength in Jesus,

LMJ
