Negativity is Not an Answer
Good Morning Ladies (and few gents),
Well, we have reached the end of my writing week. And it has been a trying week, filled with twists, turns and are you kidding me moments. I found myself doing my best imitation of Peter from wimp to warrior. No doubt about it, what Jesus did with his followers, the Spirit does through you and me. Yes, the Spirit continues the work of Christ in and through us (John 14:26).
In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:16 NLT
GiG, in all honesty, what is stated above is where I found myself yesterday. See, I understand Satan uses fear, intimidation, and doubt to suck the joy out of my mountaintop victories. And when that happens, I can become defeated, or learn to grow. Truth be told, we have a responsibility to be a beacon of truth—we must not shut our light off from the rest of the world, as tempting as that may be.
Many who have gone before me have learned and so have I. “Negativity can cloud reality.” Awe, but don’t get this twisted—God never takes negativity for an answer. He already knows that pessimism can distort reality. Despair looks downward while hope looks upward. Oh, if you find yourself living on the negative side of life, be careful because discouragement, and sometimes even depression is knocking at your door.
GiG, we must not allow ourselves to be swallowed up in our circumstances. We are more apt to resign, give up, walk away, or settle to live in a “say it isn’t so” state of mind.
May we be encouraged to allow the Lord to lift our heads above the clouds of our circumstances. Afterall, these circumstances are steppingstones not obstacles.
God’s Got It… so we can know the TRUTH—Dear Lord, Thank You for leading me to a place of freedom and favor.
Called to serve and encouraging others to thrive,
