The Power has gone out...

Judges 16:20 AMPC, “She said, The Philistines are upon you, Samson! And he awoke out of his sleep and said, I will go out as I have time after time and shake myself free. For Samson did not know that the Lord had departed from him”

Dear Friends,

That is a very scary place. He did not even know that the Lord had departed from him! One definition of depart in Websters 1828 Dictionary is, “to be lost, to perish, to vanish; as, his glory has departed. I heard one writer say, that when the Holy Spirit leaves, he leaves no sign and won’t tell you that He is gone! You may still prophecy, still speak in tongues and receive dreams and still preach when he is gone, those are all gifts, and the gifts of God are without repentance. However, those gifts profit nothing without the PRESENCE of the HOLY SPIRIT. WE can clearly see that with Samson. He woke up, he still felt strong, but there w

as no power available. You still can sing and preach, but the power to reach is gone.

Perhaps we aren’t sure if the “Holy Spirit” has departed. Here are some tell-tell signs: We began loving the world again, trying to please the world, gratifying our flesh, our eyes glisten with lust, our pride is on all time high. We find ourselves fallen back into former things, and finding pleasure in worldly things. Isaiah 43:18 AMPC reminds us to, “Forget the former things do not dwell on the past.” Turn back now!!! Solomon who was deemed as a man wisdom said in, Proverbs 26:11 AMPC, “As a dog return to his vomit, so a fool returns to his folly.”

Let’s not return to our flesh (vomit), nothing good dwells it. To be clearer, THERE IS NO POWER IN IT! It’s a temporary fix, that profits nothing. Satan wants nothing more than for us to be without The Power (Holy Spirit). This is not the time or season to be without it. If we are without the Holy Spirit, we become direct prey for the enemy. We need the Holy Spirit. We need His Power to prevail over the enemy of our souls. We need His Power to be more than conquerors. We need His Power to ensure Victory. The Power is found in our faith. Faith is walking and being led by the Spirit of God. Can we repent together for any areas in our lives that we may have grieved the Holy Spirit? Then cry aloud like King David, “ Do not cast (Chanda)(insert your name) from your presence or take your Holy Spirt from me.” (see Psalm 51:11)

Prayer: Holy Spirit we invite you to invade every area of our lives. We repent for any disconnect, and asked that you restore our connection to you. We yield our lives to you, we reverence you, and we thankful for your power that avails much in our lives. In Jesus name. Amen.
