Aligning with my Destiny

A few night ago I was traveling back home from visiting my mother. As, I approached the turn to my house, I heard a loud pop. I, immediately knew what it was, because I know what it feels like to ride on a flat tire. As I hobbled home, which was about 1 minute out. I looked at the tire and it literally had burst. I had recently gotten an alignment, to which my car had been out of alignment for a while. So, without proper alignment the inner and sometimes the outer edge of the tire wears down faster. I am learning to take each experience as a place to learn and listen. So, immediately I, heard in the my spirit, “the pressure from the car was too much for the worn out tread on the tire”. It made me consider my healing process. My healing journey will only continue when I stay aligned with God. If my life is out of alignment, leaning too much to one side or the other, then, I will wear myself out and stagnate my healing. A proper wheel alignment assures that our vehicle truly travels straight. You see The Creator designed us to stay in proper alignment with Him. He never designed us to carry the weight of our marriage, children, ministry, finances and/or family, but somehow we have with the praise of culture. We wear it as a badge of honor. When in all truth, we tired of carrying it. It causes spiritual misalignment, and in return just go through the motions, crooked might I add.

If we are going to live a life healed and whole, then we must stop misaligning ourselves with the weight of life. I Peter 5:6-7, “ Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, 7 casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].” You see the God we serve, Abba, is already whole (perfectly aligned), and He can take the weight of all the pressure we experience daily. When we stay intimately connected (aligned) with Him, it keeps our paths straight.

I am on a journey to abide in a place of wholeness, and I know this can only happen when I have a resolve to keep laying down every sin and weight that so easily tries to besets me, and run the race that He has set for me.

Prayer: Holy Spirit show us any area that we are out of alignment, so that we won’t wear down faster than we should. Let our eyes be enlighten to signs (the distractions), and to recognize how we got there. Then, let’s turn back to Him for proper alignment.

Staying In Alignment,

Chanda Rose
