Battle Ready
Dear Friends,
As I write my last devotional for 2020, I want to make sure that we remember to end 2020 ready for all battles. I (Peter 5:8), tells us to “be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion for [someone] to devour.” Let’s make a bold declaration that these last few days of 2020, we won’t be the one being devoured. We will move full speed ahead, with the Word of God in our mouth. Spiritual battles are very real, even when we can’t see the attacker in the physical, we definitely see and feel the results of the attacks. When we engage in a battle, it’s is important to know who our enemy is. We must remember that Satan is the author of lies, and a master manipulator of the truth.
He will try to convince us that we don’t win, but the truth is we have already won. I want to leave us with some strategies from the word of God on engaging Spi
ritual Warfare found in Ephesian 6. Let’s make sure we are properly suited to combat every lie and attack the enemy wants us to end this year with, and tries to make us carry over in 2021. Nope, it ends today!!

Spiritual Warfare
10Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you.
11Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser! 12Your hand-to-ha
nd combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. 13Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious.
14Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart. 15Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace.
16In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the Evil One! 17-18Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God.
Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. Pray the blessings of God upon all his believers.
