Enjoying the Moments by LMJ
Dear Friends,
This is the last semester of Josiah's junior year. It has come with much planning, adjusting of schedules discussing his future plans and looking at goals for next year. Often his conversations start with: Will I go to college? What if I take a gap year and go on a mission trip? What if I don't want to go to college at all? I am in awe of the way his mind thinks, and honestly I am honored to be His mom.
I am enjoying my moments with him, watching him evolve and understand that he has so many options and encouraging him to not feel like he only has to make one choice. My main focus right now is teaching him to be led by the guide within, mainly, "Son, Follow Your Heart!" In my previously life, I would have stated deadlines, expectations, my thoughts and plenty of my opinion but here is what I am learning to trust;
Proverbs 22:6 6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
I trust the training, I trust that over the last 17 1/4 years that I have given him enough to lead Him back to the one who will guide Him and has a perfect plan for Him, the Dream Giver himself. So my goal in this season instead of trying to plan for him or even with him, is enjoy the moments and trust that the training will work.
He Knows the Plans,
LMJ
